Inspiration
Sketches
I explored many different designs, eventually settling on one where the material and form were deeply connected. After deciding to make the casted material chocolate, it seemed to make the most sense to choose forms that played off of that material. Thus, a candy land inspired chess set made from chocolate emerged.
Exploration
Process
I made master copies, silicone molds, six unique chess piece bases and tops and the common form middle piece across all six pieces, in the process of making these pieces.
